The Pre-Coated TiBase represents the next evolution in Smart Denture Conversions (SDC). Encased in a durable polycarbonate shell, it eliminates the need for manual pre-coating and replaces the peek cap used in SDC 1.0 with an easier to remove polycarbonate cap.

This updated design features a post for easy placement onto the multi-unit abutment. Once seated, the post can be snapped off cleanly, leaving the TiBase securely in position. Inside the TiBase is the threaded post—the lower portion of a Separable Fastener—pre-assembled and ready for pick-up.

Use your standard pick-up protocol: the TiBase becomes part of the provisional, while the threaded post remains in the multi-unit abutment.

Variations of the Pre-Coated TiBase

Pre-Coated TiBases are available in several configurations:

• Standard Pre-Coated TiBase: Closest to SDC 1.0, this version is our standard compatibility and includes a threaded post within the TiBase.
• Extended Thread: A standard Pre-Coated TiBase with a longer threaded post for Straumann compatibility.
• Integrated Thread: Eliminates the threaded post by integrating the thread directly into the TiBase cap, so no more threaded post retrieval needed.
• Omnibut: A Pre-Coated TiBase that includes a threaded post and is designed to work seamlessly with our Omnibut, an omni-directional multi-unit abutment.
