An update regarding our patent infringement action against Straumann USA, LLC.
Update on Smart Denture Conversions Patent Infringement
Earlier this year, we announced that Smart Denture Conversions, LLC (SDC) had filed a complaint against Straumann USA, LLC in the Delaware U.S. District Court for infringing SDC’s U.S. Patent No. 11,937,992 with its NeoConvert dental system. Straumann USA moved to dismiss SDC’s complaint, arguing that SDC’s patent is invalid. However, in a December 12, 2024 Opinion and Order, the Court rejected Straumann’s arguments, affirmed the validity of SDC’s patent, and denied the motion to dismiss.
