Overview
Press-On Caps are the primary method used to remove the threaded post.
The Retrieval Tool is intended for use when recovering a Threaded Post from a multi-unit abutment (MUA) in cases where the Press-On Caps will not engage, indicating that the Threaded Post has been over-driven. It is specifically designed to enable retrieval even when the Threaded Post is fully seated within the MUA.
The Retrieval Tool should be used in an implant handpiece or latch-lock slow-speed handpiece. Apply light pressure until the tool engages the Threaded Post, then run the handpiece slowly in reverse to remove the Threaded Post from the MUA.
Technical Notes
- The Retrieval Tool must always be used in an implant handpiece or latch-lock slow-speed handpiece. It should never be used by hand.
- Ensure the Retrieval Tool is aligned with the same axis as the Threaded Post and applied with light pressure. Improper angulation or excessive pressure may damage the tangs on the tool, preventing proper engagement.
- Parts damaged due to misuse are not covered under warranty.
