New: Impression Copings
Introducing Impression Copings, the latest innovation in our Smart Denture Conversions product line. Engineered for the open-tray technique, these copings are crafted to become a dentist's go-to choice for precision and ease.
What Makes Them Different?
Our Impression Copings are thoughtfully designed for dual purposes: verification jig and elastomeric impressions (see the SDC Technique Manual). They have a retention zone that is sufficiently high above the tissue so that resin can be added for a verification jig above the tissue. At the tissue level, the impression coping is designed to easily accommodate subgingival multi-unit abutment placement, without inducing discomfort to the patient.
Our Impression Coping mates with the universal, multi-unit abutment geometry introduced and popularized by Nobel Biocare. They can be used on:

One of the major changes we wanted to make to our Impression Copings was with the Impression Coping Screw. Too often, Impression Coping Screws are short, barely reaching through the impression tray and requiring a driver to tighten. We made our Impression Coping Screw tall enough to easily pass through the tray, featuring an easy-to-operate knob for hand tightening. The knob has a knurled edge for easy gripping, and the diameter allows for greater torque by hand. The drive feature is a T6 Torx®, compatible with Straumann drivers.
The screw threads are the standard MUA m 1.4 x 0.3 thread diameter and pitch. The screw seat is identical to the screw seat of a prosthetic screw, allowing the use of the Impression Coping Screw to fabricate resin bars on short temporary cylinders, like the Smart Denture Conversions' TiBases.
